Featuring Boston Red Sox Pitcher Bill "Spaceman" Lee
- Bill "Spaceman" Lee in "High & Outside"
With our successful inaugural Film Festival a “Box Office Hit” we are very excited to announce our 2012 event. This festival is our largest event of the year, being held at our new venue, the beautiful and historic Scottish Rite Center in downtown Portland. Not only is it an opportunity to celebrate baseball in film, it is also an evening dedicated to raising funds for the youth baseball and softball community through our auction and reception. This evening will provide the seed monies to insure that our kids are able to not only play but do so through safe and sustainable programs.
Bill Lee, legendary pitcher for the Boston Red Sox will headline this year’s Festival. Bill "Spaceman" Lee was featured in a documentary that highlighted his truly legendary and slightly unorthodox Major League career. Bill will be attending our reception to meet with all of you and to discuss both the making of this film and his storied career.
We will be serving heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer along with great friends, conversations about Bill’s career and youth baseball and softball in Oregon.
